Montana sliding door not working.
I fixed it but typically it may have to be replaced if bad.
Her dad got her a starte.
Originally would click once when key turned.
Battery voltage 12 9 no load 11 6 load.
2000 pontiac montana working on to help a single mom friend.
The cable needs to be lubricated and greased at both ends.
The sliding doors on montana assuming there power have a electrical harness on the bottom track that break and jam the doors but unlikly both have this problem do the doors lock unlock if not check switch at drivers door.
2 which sounds mainly your problem is the actuator that opens the latch snapped the plastic arm causing it to work as your saying only when you manually open the door.
These hole are often covered with a plastic plug.
I assume it want work from either switch or remote so the problem has to be a bad sliding door motor or sliding door module but the only way to know for sure is with a scan tool.
Then work both the lever and gas door back and forth until it the sliding door works right.
And please accept.
Use an aerosol lubricant to lubricate all the door rollers.
Most sliding patio doors have one or two small holes at the top and bottom of the door for adjusting the roller height.
To clean and lubricate the hardware of a sliding closet door use a stiff brush a toothbrush or a hand vacuum to clean dust from the tracks.
Already replaced starter and solenoid.
The other side do not work even sliding door do not work until the engine is turn off.
I have an new car that i have to problem my lights the way the doors locks setting the alarms.
I can hear the doors lock click when i press button to lock but no sound to unlock on all the doors.
04 pontiac montana sliding doors no longer work.
Remove the plug and use a screwdriver to tighten and loosen the roller height making very small adjustments and testing each time.
If the rollers are damaged install replacement rollers available at home centers.
The problem is usually the gas door end try wd40 with the red stick in the nozzle and spry were the cable connects to the gas door.
In order to attempt to fix this you would have to remove the door side panel to see the inner workings of the door and this is quite difficult on most side sliding doors i have a 2000 pontiac montana w dual sliding doors.
Work the gas door back and forth.
Tried boosting no luck.
